Hello from SoCal. I've been lurking in the shadows long enough and decided to sign up for an account. I've been browsing the forum trying to get some ideas for the 1969 F250 that I purchased two weeks ago. Right now I am fixing all the leaks and safety issues, hopefully by the middle of the year I will be rebuilding the spare 390 motor that was sold with it and fixing the body(the bed had holes drilled into it for a fifth wheel).

I live in a little town that is the pitstop between LA and Vegas known as Barstow.

from Lake County, just a few miles up the road from where you are.

I'm a couple of hours north of San Francisco and then right for about thirty miles on Highway 20. BTW, up here we say Highway 101, or 101, not "the" 101. I can always tell someone is from socal, they say "the" and then the highway number. I try to retrain them, but it is hard.

. A regular stop on the way to and from Vegas. Thats about my halfway point since I am over in Santa Clarita off of "the 5"

Yeah I'm guilty of calling it the 101.

Yup, you described it perfectly.

When I was living in San Diego, someone asked me where Barstow was. I told them what they needed to do to get to Barstow was buy a 2 liter of soda, drink it down, head out on the 15 toward Las Vegas, hold it in until you couldn't hold it in anymore and then you are in Barstow.
