Hello from Brazil
Hello everybody!
I am here to show my old truck, it is a F100 1975 (yes, down here this is the 1975 model), three on tree, Y-block 292 and power brakes (upgraded).
I am working with my father on it, we started last year a complete restoration and fordification schematics helped us a lot .
My Grandpa bought it in 1979 and replaced the y-block for a diesel engine. He worked with this truck for 20 years. In 2002 he got sick and he decided to sell it. In 2004 he passed away. Last year i went to the internet to search for this truck and i found it. And now, the truck is back and it is almost finished.
I have some questions about some differences from trucks made here in Brazil and the trucks made in US.
Sorry for the broken english.

Thank you!
That body was produced from 72 until 1992 here in Brazil.
From 1972 until 1976 with y-block 272/292 and that grille,
after 1976 the v8 engine was replaced for a 4 cylinder (ethanol or gasoline)
And in 1981 Ford introduced the diesel engine that was produced until 1992
This is an advetisement from 1981:

Re: Hello from Brazil
First of all, that's a really nice looking truck.
Second, it's crazy to consider getting a bumpside truck new in 1992. It's like its an alternate universe.
Third, I can't imagine driving my truck with a four cylinder engine!
Fourth, I can't decide if it's easier or harder for you to get parts. Easier because these trucks are essentially "newer" harder because you're farther from US parts distributors.
Anyway, welcome!
Cheers,
Duane
