Is this a good price?
Haven't been posting much lately and haven't really worked the truck at all in months Once again "life" has intervened and she got put on the back burner...again...due to monetary and other personal commitments. I attempted to paint the interior of my cab myself and did an absolutely horrific job for my first attempt. Got almost all of the orange peel sanded and out and now she has to be repainted, same with the inside of my doors. Having my confidence shaken through this, I decided to see if I could outsource it. My DD crapped out on the way home the other day and I had to call a tow truck. While riding in the cab on the way home, I struck up a conversation with the driver who happens to be a lover of fox body mustangs, he has two, and classic American muscle in general. Their shop has a paint and body shop and he mentioned I should call the owner. So, I called him the other day. He (another gear head) would be willing to piece paint my truck. Bring the roll back to the house, pick up the truck and doors, take it to the shop, sand it, prep it, spray it, and bring it back. $500-$600, I supply the paint, activator, reducer, etc. If they checked it out and saw there would be anything else involved, we talk additional pricing. Sound like a decent deal to you guys? As always, I appreciate any and all input and advice. Thanks, guys!

Re: Is this a good price?
Honestly, it sounds a bit shady. What kind of quality are you expecting to get from these guys? I don't think you'll be able to return it or ask for a refund if it sux.
I'm going to be painting my truck soon and I'm expecting it to cost upwards of 2k.

That price is a steal for just about any paint job, even low quality. But keep in mind that you get what you pay for. If it turns out to be even somewhat decent, then you got a GREAT deal. That is the price for the cheapest "Earl Shibe" type of paint jobs. So again, you really cant go wrong at that price.

Re: Is this a good price?
Since it's only the interior of the cab and the inside of the doors, I'm thinking it's not too iffy. They've been in business a while around here and a buddy of mine had them do some transmission work on his truck with good results and fair treatment. They've just built a big new facility so they're either doing good, businesswise, or gone deep in debt. My biggest concern is the "if we get into and it turns out to be more work...." scenario. It'll be later on this fall but I'm probably going to go for it. They've gotta do a better job than I did
