'69 F100 Newbie from CA!

Hi Everyone,
I just bought my first classic truck! 1969 F100. She needs a bit of cosmetic work, but overall she is beautiful and I love her!!! I do admit I am a bit overwhelmed by all of the part websites. Prices and quality vary so much. I have been looking for a missing piece of bedside moulding for a week now and it seems like a lot of the salvage yard websites don't even have the pull down option to search for it. I went to my local pick and pull because they had a '68 on their lot, after an hour of searching through cars and trucks and not finding it, the guy tells me it was crushed that morning. Just my luck! I live on the coast of central California and we seem to have slim pickings here compared to the rest of the country. Any and all advise in my future adventure is much appreciated from all of you! Thank you and I am sure I will be asking a lot of questions here.
