tWO tONE PAINT JOB

Post by ponyexpress »

Hi guys,

I am in need for some info. I plan on painting my 71 in two different colors but not real sure the color line is at rear of cab. There is like a two inch panel that runs across back of cab. Is the color line at the top of this panel? bottom ? or someplace in between. Thanks in advance for any help. I haven't been able to see one in person as there are not many bumps in my area and I haven't been able to see any real clear pictures of where the color changes. :fr:

Seems like there is a line that runs just a few inches under the back glass that would make an ideal two-tone line. When, if, I get to the point of paint, I intend for my cab roof to be a different color from the rest of the truck (I have a flareside, so no issue with bed and two-tone). I won't use chrome trim, but probably a pin-strip to separate the colors.

I think it's in the middle of that flat spot and there is trim to cover the paint transition. You can see it on page 71 in LMC cat.
