filling in cowl/side air vents
After removing and repairing a ton of rust in the cowl/vent sections of my cab, I am seriously thinking of blocking off the cowl vent, by welding in some sheet metal, and also, filling the vents in the kick panels. My truck will have A/C, so I'm not to worried about air flow through the cab. Anyone done this? Any drawbacks? Your thougths are most welcome!

Your ac and heat draw air from the cowl vent.
if you block it off, it might still pull air from under the fenders but it might not be fresh.

There will be days when u will miss the fresh air thru them vents. Just my

Yeah, forgot that the ac/ heat air comes from there. I've been thinking, since I have the cowl panel off, maybe I'll just install a screen on the back side of the vents, and paint it black to hide it.

You could route a fresh air duct to the rad support, Fab a plenum to the inside firewall. Use cold air intake piping laid along the inner fender?
