Yes, my father bought one of these used around 1980. Same blue colour, wheel covers, "bed liner" vinyl looking top, and bed rails but it did not have A/C. It had a 302 AT with 3.25 gears. This was the only bumpside (or dentside) that we ever had that got respectable gas mileage......and we had a quite a few of them. The truck was driven by an older gentleman who worked for my father and it would get 17 mpg if driven gently like the older gent did.68RGR wrote:An early Explorer model (1969) that Ford called the Spring Special or something like that had a 'vinyl' top. They had "special" Explorer wheel covers, air conditioning (I think) and factory bed rails as well.
