Wheelbase/frame questions
I have a '66 F-100, two actually. I cut one down to make it a SWB & looks like I got the length wrong. I know the bed is supposed to fit close to the cab. I need to know the wheelbase & if someone knows frame dimentions i.e hole to hole measurements, I'd really appreciate the info. Kinda want to get it right & drive it before I do the Pinto swap & tub it.

re: Wheelbase/frame questions
As a matter of fact I do! Mark recently loaned me a copy of the 1970 Ford Trucks Body Builders Layout Book , which has all these diagrams. The manual is pretty large....to large to fit on my scanner. In fact, it takes four scans to get every page, and then the scans stitched together. I've been getting started going this but still have a ways to go. I was planning on posting them all at the same time to a new site page, but at the rate I'm going it's gonna be months before I might be close. There hasn't been any questions (until now) with anyone looking for that information. So therefore....
I guess this thread is as good as any to unveil the page in-progress. Maybe by my posting what I have so far you guys will stay on me to get the rest done and available for download. So here you go:
The 1970 Ford Trucks Body Builders Layout Book - IN PROGRESS!
Oh by the way....the images are pretty large, in order to permit good detail. So those of you on dial-up will have to patient.
Plane_Mech: the info you're asking about will be the diagrams on Page 4 and Page 5 of the this webpage.

I am gonna need that master wiring diagram for my 70 f250 crew cab real soon. I have the hwold wiring harness in a rubbermaid container. I am gonna drag it out, clean it up and retape it all. Will be nice to be able to label it.
