so i starded installing the fenders and im having a weird fitment problem. everything lines up well except for the top rear part of the fender. (pic below)
granted all the bolts are not all the way tighten down cause i dont have the grille on. but i cant get it to 'go in' flush against the truck.
any tips would be appreciated.

Re: fender not lining up
NOS Ford? Repro? Tiawan? Original?
I have a similar problem with a Taiwan repro from NPD on my passenger side. It seems as if some metal needs to be cut, bent or hammered out of the way at the top lip by the cowl. Also, it seems as if the inner brace of the fender needs to be hammered down more where the bolt attaches it to the door hinge area. Those would allow it to be sucked in more.
The other problem it seems, is that the fenders have an outward bow in them at the middle above the wheel. I'm not sure that this isn't a quality of stock fenders also, but some trucks seem to have it worse than others and since I'm not a body man, I don't know how to "fix" this issue. It's more noticeable on a shiny truck as you look down the side of the truck and watch the bump bow out at each panel as it goes down the side.

NOS off 2 different trucks.
Yeah looks like I'm gonna have to hammer in the brace a little where the bolt goes, like u said.
I was hoping someone had a hammer free answer

Re: fender not lining up
Have you tried moving the inner fender in a little by loosening the bolts at the firewall?

The bolts that connect the bracket to the fire wall?
No but the bolts that Bolt the inner fender to that bracket are still loose.
that bracket is adjustable?
dang, I already painted the fire wall

Re: fender not lining up
Also i found out if you can't get the part of fender that is right under the cowl to go parallel with the cowl you can adjust the core support where it is mounted to front of frame by the use of shims. It will help by raising the fender. It worked for me.
