67 with original paint

Post by OSUF100GUY »

Hey everyone, I am looking at a 67 Ranger to buy, the owner says the paint is original and it's look like it is. The problem is there is no color identified on the VIN plate and none of the colors listed on the VIN identification page seem to match, or even close, to the color of the truck. Why would the color code be blank on the VIN plate? After looking around some, the closest color is Poppy Red, but the actual color of the truck is more like orange. How can I determine what the factory color actually is. Thanks.

If the data plates' color code area is blank, that means it was a special order color.

Post a pic... Fordification guys are pretty good a dead reckoning colors from the Ford line.
