Hi all I have my dad's old 1968 F100 and I am slowly fixing it up to get back on the road and eventually restore it. I got the truck in 2006 when my dad passed away and it has sat since then until early 2013 I started working on it. I live In a small rural town just south of Dallas Texas and I am 16 years old. I have been a lawn mower mechanic for about 4 years now so I know the basics of how engines work and how to turn a wrench but I am still new to the automotive world. I have a truck to drive in now, a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 so I don't need to fix this Ford up as a daily driver but when it is running and driving it will get drove. My F100 is banged up and battered but it still has life left in it. It is a 1968 F100 Ranger short wheel base 2WD. It is harbor blue with a Wimbledon white roof. It originally had a 360 engine and 3 speed column shift trans. As of now it has a unknown engine and a 3 speed floor shift trans. Both are not original and this truck had a auto at one time. It also has rust issues and a few bad body panels. It needs a lot of love but it will be fixed up. Found this forum with the help of some friends on Facebook and thought I'd join so I can get some help and advice on my truck. Thanks for reading
