I would like to replace the cab of my 69 F250 dump. On the Camper Specials and Rangers that have the brightwork running the length of the bump and around the fenders, what is holding it on? Bolts or glue?
Thanks!

Re: Body trim
Our trucks were built before automakers started gluing them together.
On virtually every piece of external trim, each end has a clip which is held on with a nut, and then everything in the middle just snaps on. Once you remove the nut from the clip on each end, the rest can be carefully unsnapped from the plastic clips (which are pop-riveted to the body panel).

Re: Body trim
DUH!
I just removed all the trim off a 67 Wagon, I should've known!
All that has to be done then is grind down the rivets. Not many holes to be filled by the body guy. I am looking at a truck with all the trim to replace my current body.
Thanks again.

Re: Body trim
Replacement plastic clips are available. If carefully removed, the metal clips are reusable. I have seen posts where others have made their own clips.
I am thinking about using a square aluminum piece and plastic clips to reattach trim. Has everyone had any creative ideas?
