Well made some progress today, I was able to get the front crossmember lowered and re welded into position. I am thankful for websites like this one so I knew that this needed to be done before I started fitting engine and realized it was in the way. I would say it took about three hours to cut it out, modify, and weld in place.

Looks good. You may wish to repost all your threads in this section, devoted to projects:
http://www.fordification.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=22
There is also a sister site to this one devoted to the 73-79 trucks:
http://www.fordification.net/forums/index.php

You're making good progress there. Someday I'd like to put a diesel in Frodo, my '69 F250 CS, but I don't know if I'll ever get that done.

Thanks flyboy, I didn't realize that there was a sister site for 73-79 I agree that my thread would fit there much better, although I'm not sure how to move my thread.

If you really want a diesel in your 69 don't stop thinking about it and someday it will happen. I have been wanting to do this swap for along time and I'm finally doing it. So stick to it and find parts when you can.
