How do I replace the rear window?

I recently got a new rear glass with sliders assembly from a junkyard to replace the current broken one in my 1969 Ford F-250 Custom.

How do I replace this rear glass?

What will I need?

Weatherstripping, where do I get it?

You might try searching YouTube for installtion tips. Some heavy cord (like the pull-start cord on a lawnmower), spray bottle of warm soapy water and a helper, it's not too difficult. Hard to explain, though...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4igX1ZO5as

Try Dennis Carpenter, LMC, NPD for the weatherstrip.

+1 for the rope. your going to need a pull cord to put in the channel and pull through from the inside. and have a buddy around to hold the glass from the outside. I did the exact thing on my 72' side note. the weatherstripping from lmc or im sure aftermarket in general does not cover as much metal as the factory stripping. so if the paint is different color under the stripping paint to match your cab while its out or your gunna have some of the old paint showing. ask how i know.

Oh OK! I see how it works.

The rubber channel/gasket/seal is what keeps it in place.

I will buy a new seal, cut out the old one, and install the new one as the video illustrates.
