replacement box sides?
Can I buy box sides for a bumpside or do I have to repair or find a different box?

Re: replacement box sides?
I know you can get replacement panels but just outer sections. Unless your talking flare side. You can buy a whole flareside bed in pieces.

Re: replacement box sides?
You would be better off finding another box. First, the only box side that are available are a lightweight skin that can be used to basically cover the entire side of your existing box. I have never seen one, but they are not recommended to be used as replacement bedsides. Second, if you look at a bumpside box you will notice that it is assembled differently than a modern bed. It looks like it would be difficult to remove the bed side because of the way the seams are made between the box sections. I have seen NOS bedsides for these trucks on ebay ($700 each), and they were true bed sides where the inner panel of the box also came with them, meaning that the old bedside had to be separated from the seam that runs along the bed floor and wheel well. The aftermarket "skin" couldn't even compare to the NOS Ford part.

Thanks for the replies!
That's what I was afraid of! Looks like a pain to replace anyway. I have a line on some other boxes anyway. Just thought I'd get more info.
Thanks!
