Re: Replacement Cab Mount Wings
I'm not sure what you mean by 'wing'. If you mean the bracket that is riveted onto the frame that the cab mount bolts to, your only option is a used piece from a donor frame. And the cab will have to be off the frame, or the floor pan cut out because it has rivets in the top. You'll have to grind off the head of the rivet and drive it out with a hammer and punch. There are two on the top and two on each side of the bracket. Then you'll have to get the old one off of your truck, removing cab or floor pan to get to the rivet. I don't know if you could get at them from inside the frame rail or not. Then you'll have to use some bolts to install the replacement piece. This is a real PIA to do, nearly impossible with the cab on. ![Mad :x](./images/smilies/icon_mad.gif)

Re: Replacement Cab Mount Wings
Im totally uncertain and confused now. Posted pics on couple other site they the welder I hired to repair the 4 rotted holes on the frame did unprofessional job. They said he did no prep work. When he got 4th hole which passenger side front cab mount frame wing bracket that has auto rivots in it. He said he was just burning through the metal and couldnt finish welding it on top. He used 11 gauge steel plates.
Here pics.

Well, for starters, you don't weld on rusted metal. It'll just blow through or disintegrate in a shower of sparks. Those areas should have had the rusted portions cut completely out, back to good metal, and new plate welded in to the firm foundation. I would have cut the top horizontal surfaces clear back to the vertical surfaces, welded it fresh flats plates and redrilled the holes. I think you to find another welder.

$125 plus cost of shipping a good price for cab mount frame wing bracket? It was quoted from Desert Auto Parts in AZ.
