Linex vs Rhino

Post by moseshoward »

Allow me to preface this by stating I'm sure this issue has been discussed already and the search engine is down at the moment. So my question is this, Once my 69 gets back home from the body shop, I wanna put in a spray-in bed liner. Which do you guys prefer? LineX or Rhino? Also is it wise to "color" tint the liner? My 69 is Ford "Sky View Blue" and just thinking a black bed liner would look outta place. Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated!!!

As I word of caution, (although I'm sure most turn out just fine) a friend of mine recently took his 2012 Chevy 2500 crew cab long bed to Zeibart to have a rhino lining installed. They got overspray all over his truck, the mixture apparently did not set right and began to get tacky and peel out after a few days. At this point he called rhino and sent them pictures. The man he spoke to told him it "looked fine" and didn't want to fix it. After the top of the bed rails peeled back you could see where they had cut the edges witha razor blade, going through the paint, and down to bare metal. My friend wanted rhino to pay for a new take off bed, though they refused, and agreed to attempt to "grind it out" telling him they had never seen this before. After eventually deciding to let them try, they again just sprayed over the old screwed up liner, and now it's so bad his tailgate won't shut right and the hinges are bending. Rhino is no longer returning his calls, and it Appears it may be lawyer time. The only way to make this 40,000 dollar truck right again is to replace the bed and tailgate entirely. I am sure this is an isolated incident, but if gives me pause about taking an irreplaceable truck to them and having thm spray in a permanent product.

I have a Rhino liner in my F150. I love having a spray in and it holds up well. I'd probably go line-x next time just because they seem to be better service wise and have separate dealers.
