Introduction finally
Hello everyone very cool site. I have a 1969 SWB three on the tree, 300/6 power nothing truck which has been my daily driver 80 miles round trip for that last 6 years. Former Arizona truck all black very little rust. It has been a very dependable vehicle but the six was starting to get tired. I bought a low hours jasper engine off craigslist that came out of a airport tug/tractor and am putting a floor shifting 3 speed with overdrive (rebuilt) in it to make it a bit more highway friendly although I averaged between 17-22 mpg with the previous combo. I'm taking out what little rust it has and will repaint. I build traditional hotrods/customs and am on the jalopyjournal H.A.M.B. forums quite a bit with same user name. The 69 is my newest vehicle except for the wife's daily and a few Camaros that I intend to flip. My other cars are a 1928 A V/8 fenderless 50's hotrod (driver), custom 49 Shoebox and several other projects in the works. I used to restore cars for a living and do everything except upholstery.
