ROLL PAN.?.?

I've been toying with the idea of installing a roll pan with a hidden receiver hitch on my 71 F-250 crew cab. The jury is still out at this time, but if I decide 2 follow through with it... Where would I begin 2 locate a nice steel roll pan???

If they aren't made off the shelf find a press brake and a guy who knows how to run it. Bump a large radius punch into some 20 gauge and form the edges as desired.

We borrowed this idea for CNM67's truck and have the roll pan already cut from an old tailgate. We just have not welded it on yet.

I just saw this and remember reading somewhere on this site that IF (can be a mighty big if) you have an old bed or bedside you can take the top of either side and cut out an almost perfect roll pan. Do a search here and you MIGHT find it. I do like the top of the tailgate idea with the body line in it. That looks real good.

Oops, missed it. Sargentrs already beat me to it. That was what I am talking about.

We just did a roll pan using the tailgate method which I linked to previously... It came out great!

I love the tailgate roll pan I wish I saw this a long time ago I had an extra tailgate laying around I used the center of the tailgate to graph into my 97 Ford truck tailgate. I took plain 18ga sheet metal and made my own roll pan
