Newbie from Bama

Post by bama72350 »

Hey all,
So i am new to the ford truck world but not to automotive. I've been a mechanic for going on 20 years. Two years ago I left California for a better life and I needed a way to transport my stuff. Needless to say U-haul was a tad expensive. A salesman at the dealership I was working would drive this old ford to work every so once in awhile. I took the chance and asked him if he would sell it. I bought it for 500 bucks. Its a 72 f350 short flatbed running a 390. After a very quick going through, I packed it rented a trailer for my tool boxes and motorcycle and drove 6 days along highway 40 to Huntsville. After two years of it sitting here, I bought a new carb and tuned her up. I'll post pictures soon but have to say that this site has already helped tons. Now for the first of many questions. I need rims so I can go back to the dullie on her. What years fit so I can get rid of the suicide rims in front?? Thanks in advance!!

Hello and welcome from Florida. Sorry, I can't help with your rim question. Maybe ask over in the drive train section, more people will see it there.
