Wood Bed parts website

Post by mnkeeking »

Howdy all!
Dunno if this fits under vendors or belongs right here. I have a '68 F100 flareside, and was looking for a bed wood kit that was different from the same old oak everyone sells. I'm pretty excited to tell ya'll about woodbedandparts.com. Not only do they have MANY different types of wood planks to use, they have a really handy "visualizer" that lets you pick the color of the truck (they have about 15 colors) and then pick the type of wood you like for the bed and the tool displays the choices you made so you can see if the wood matches the bed, etc. Never seen anything like it myself. The bed kits are VERY expensive (at least the one I want is) but the site is very helpful and lets you SEE what it might look like without guessing or trying to find pictures of what you like on the internet.

Anyway, check out the site, I don't work for them or anything, just thought it was cool. Oh, if anyone gets on the site and can tell me the manufacturer and color code for what the site calls "Tropical Turquoise," I'd sure appreciate it. My truck was originally Lunar Green and my wife and I wanted to stay true to that with a modern update. The site's Tropical Turquoise is exactly what we want. I emailed the company and asked the same question with no response in a few days.

Thanks, all. Have a great weekend.

I just spent a thousand dollars on red oak wood, new metal strips & a bolt kit from LMC. That's about the same as what these guys are asking for the same thing. I do like the many different types of wood they stock, although it is pricey. Thanks for posting. :)
