Anderson, MO show is on!
I FB'ed with Fred Nelson and the Anderson show is scheduled for June. Attached are the flier and entry form. I hope to go. I missed it last year, but it sounds like a really great event.

Looks fun, my mom lives just south of there. Is is just a car show or are their any other events?

Got the truck loaded up and ready. Im headed up Thursday morning to help get every thing rolling. It appears it might be pretty big this year. Looks like its going to be super nice weather also and is a very pretty area Fred lives in!

Re: Anderson, MO show is on!
Well unless a miracle happens we will make the show but our truck will not. We are still waiting for plates to arrive (about 2 weeks now) & we need to do an alignment before making the trip. If by chance plates make it tomorrow & we can get it aligned early Friday morning we will drive the Ford. If not we will be in our Blazer.
UPDATE: Plates did not make it so we will be in our Blazer. The little Ford has to stay home.

Pics!
Greg Morton goofing off under 1 of the lowriders.
A really sharp truck. There is a pic later on of the engine. A 32 valve Cobra engine.
A very nice '70 that was for sale. I didn't ask price. I am confident it was not in my budget.
Sitting on a MII IFS with cut coils. The lady that drove it in said it did sit 4" lower but was undrivable when that low.
This truck had a neat shaved handle treatment. The lock cylinders & pull knobs are mechanically attached to the mechanism. To get in you put the key in the lock & turn it. Door pops open. To get out you pull the lock knob up. Mild 460, fuel cell, buckets.
This is the long distance winner. Came in from down near Austin, TX.
My wife & I met the owner of this truck who invited us out to his house. He is building a '54 Chevrolet & the El Camino in later pics also belongs to him. Sitting next to his shop is a '67 Mustang.
1956 IH Travelall. Very nice restoration.
Anderson Police provided an officer who sat on the grounds for the day. We had a few other officers that floated in & out during the day.
Greg Morton's dent he drove in from TX.
Keith's dent that he drove in from Nebraska with his son.
Your DJ with the trophies.
The engine in the '56 pictured earlier.
The choir receives the proceeds from the show.
Robert with his truck. He has an air horn from a train mounted under the bed. Yes we all got to hear it a time or two.
This slick came in from Kansas City, MO.
This El Camino was for sale. Fresh crate 350. Asking price was $7500. In the bed is a complete running 6 cyl. with manual trans that came out of his '54. He also has a complete PS system (original) for the '54 for sale.
There was a valve cover install race set up for the children. Winner of each heat received a $5.00 gift card from MCDonalds.
A nice original, unmolested, '72 that was for sale. $7500.
Pro Stock. She sure sounded nice! '66 Comet.
A really clean Grand National pulling in. In the background you can see my wife sitting on the tailgate of our Blazer.
A GT40 that showed up. I have some more pics of this car later on.
Remember this truck. It is the pretty 1 of the pair.
Jack rolling in with the only crew that made the show.
The other GT40 pics.
Jack's Crew. Won best of show last year. The truck featured on this years T Shirts.
Ok remember that Dakota? This is the truck that goes with it. You had to see this truck to really take in all it is. The front tires are larger than the rears, The moldings down the side are held on with self tapping screws, no floor in the bed. I know we all start somewhere. They left to return with a for sale sign. He was only asking $3000 OBO. My wife thought the sign was worth more than the truck. Did I mention it ran as good as it looks? A definite positive is you never have to worry about the front of the fenders rotting away. They have already done that & it has been rebuilt with Bondo.
This truck rolled in & was sold. It had a propane conversion on it. The asking price was $1000. I do not know what it sold for.
A supercharged SVT Lightning.
The propane conversion that sold.
The gentleman with his back to us is Keith. To the right is Jack (owner of the crew) & then Keith's oldest son. Starting in the back next to the truck is Robert, The guy you can barely see in the red shirt is Jesse & the final is Fred just to the left of Keith.
Best Lowrider went to this gentleman. I do not remember all the names & awards but will caption those I do. Fred wanted the entire club in the shot. The funny part to me was the entire club was standing there, all taking pics with their smart phones.
Best paint.
Best interior.
I believe this was best lifted. It went to the Highboy bump.
Long distance award went to Tyler. Dad (Robert) managed to get into the pic. Can you tell where Tyler is from?
Tyler with People's choice.
Best of show.
This gentleman showed up as everything was winding down. Nice bump. He said he had learned about the show 1/2 hr before he arrived. His brother has a '68 that is much nicer than this according to him. I don't know, his looks pretty nice.
The row of bumps that were still here at this time.
Over the hoods of the dents is the bump & further back is the slick.

Fred took about 100 more pics than I did. I know he said he would be working on posting them but I do not know the time frame. Jesse also took a bunch of pics. My wife & I met some great folks. Keith made the trip down from Nebraska. Our plates did not show up in time to take our truck but next year we plan having our truck there in the mix.
