Newbie from Texas - Love this site!

Post by KnockKnock »

I'm selling my '07 F150 later this morning, and I've got my sites set on a classic! Yeah, those new-fangled mod-motors just don't do it for me, and I'll be on the hunt for a driver/project somewhere in the '68-'79 Supercab/CrewCab area. I was raised to love a Jimmy, but I'm a red-blooded American through & through, and it just isn't right that We The People bail out those other car companies because they can't keep on top of their books. I had my fair-share of issues with the late-model Effie, so now I've moved on to more familiar territory in the push-rod family. Although GM's were what I knew, I've always thought that Ford made a down-right beautiful truck (love those old FlareSides!), and all jokes aside, I've never actually had to push a 300 or 302 powered anything back to the garage. I believe that the trucks built in the yester-years were made to last, and God willing, I'll have one of my own to fix up and drive around in the years to come. Well, I didn't mean for this to turn into an autobiography, but in closing, I'd just like to say that I've been rolling through this site for years now, and while I'd never actually posted prior to today, I just wanted to say that Fordification really does rock! Seriously great site here!

Thank you for the warm welcome! If anyone here has a lead on a good '68+ CC bump, please keep me posted - I check the CL/Ebay & members for-sale sections regularly & I am now officially in the market for a new ride. Cheers!
