LMC CAb mounts
Has anyone used the cab mounts from LMC? They are not factory original and are all one piece. I am prepping for welder to come Sat. to get them mounted and a little anxious about the whole thing. Will be taking off old cab mounts tomorrow. Anyone who may have installed these type and had success or problems? Please respond. Pics of the mounts are attached.

Re: LMC CAb mounts
I just installed an LMC LH one on my 68 yesterday. However, as I don't have access to a welder, I trimmed it down and attached it with a bunch of sheet metal screws.... yeah I know, not the best but, it will have to do.
As far as fit, the two things I noticed was the sheet metal was kinda thin, and the hole in the bottom for the cab mounts seemed to be way off (I'd say about 3/8 to 1/2 inch) from the original placement.
I'll try to take some pics tomorrow.

Re: LMC CAb mounts
thanks. I do recall reading about problems with mounting, cutting adn trimming to make fit and then using washers to get it to sit right on chasis. I decided to send my LMC parts back and ordered the Denis Carpenter OEM types today. Still interested to hear from anyone who has installed either type......

Re: LMC CAb mounts
I had to replace the driver's side cab mount on mine. I bought mine from Dennis Carpenter. It was sturdy and built just like the original mount.

Re: LMC CAb mounts
I used the stamped ones from blue oval truck parts. I think they are all pretty much the same. I had a little bit of fitment issues with them when I welded them on but they are good. I cannot compare directy to yours as I had also put in new floor pans also. Here is a link to my project thread when I mounted it all together.

Dennis Carpenter mounts are way better and factory original.... I sent LMC ones back and would only recommend DC for mounts... ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
