I rescued a 1972 model F-350 with 12 ft. grain and livestock bed from a farmer's shed. It was a project his father had begun about ten years ago and not quite finished. I am told the 390 engine was totally rebuilt but never started. Several brake lines had been replaced and a new set of tires installed (now dry-rotted). The bed had been used to store seed corn and rats had taken up residence in the cab. I have no explanation for the 1970 grille.
It has been cleaned up, fuse box replaced, and other wiring issues addressed. I became acquainted with this site because of an internet search for wiring schematics. The Forification wiring schematics were the most useful I located. I am now addressing the engine.
I look forward to advice as I continue the project; I intend that it will be a working truck and will share pictures as it evolves.

Good to see another enthusiaist from the "Show-me" state. I am in Sullivan, about 65 miles southwest of St. Louis on I44, but I actually bought my truck in Ravenden, Arkansas. Glad to see someone still pulling old steel out of barns!
