lowered 70 flair. the final result
this is it. static drop with cut coils in the front and flipped hanger and lowering shackles in the rear.
stats: 4 1/4 drop in the front with two cut coils
6 1/2 drop in the rear with flipped front hanger and drop shackle.

I like the drop!
Looks like a little too much negative rake now (i.e. rear lower than front)?
How much did the camber and toe change in the front with the 2 coils removed?

i haven't checked the toe, but the camber sure did change. probably not enough to worry about tire wear. i don't drive it that much anyways. i do know of a shop that will bend the beams for 30$ a side if i decide to get it aligned.

It would be interesting to have someone do a ride height sweep on these trucks to see what toe/camber changes actually take place as ride height changes.....surely someone has done this already?
I keep hearing a spring cut adds too much camber.....but what's the actual number....you could run 2 deg neg camber and tire wear would be decent still as long as the toe was corrected back to around 1/16" out to zero.

Looks good ez. The more I look at that truck, the more I like it. It would look nasty sick with some 15x10 steels in the back wrapped with wide drag radials.
It would dang sure look the part of total sleeper if nothing else!

the i beams can be bent to correct for camber. i don't really know of a good way to measure it accurately with just an angle finder. .

matt, i think 10's would stick out too far and there is almost no more room for any backspacing. i have some 8's that i think would do ok back there, but the are street stars and i'm nut sure if i am going to run them or not.papabug71 wrote:Looks good ez.
