Anybody used the lmc sestbelts
Hate to beat this into the ground but I can't swing the seatbelt pros belts anytime soon. Lmc has what looks to be a beams belt for much cheaper. Has anybody used these? If so what do you think about the quality.
Thanks in advance

Re: Anybody used the lmc sestbelts
I got the retractable shoulder belts from seatbeltsplus.com, haven't installed them yet but they were the least expensive quality option I could find. If you want to stop by and check them out let me know.
Also, I am picking up a parts truck 1975 F100 this week if you need anything.

Todd, I may take you up on that offer. Did you get that header sealed up?

Re: Anybody used the lmc sestbelts
Got distracted by the steering column and a bunch of other stuff (like parts trucks haha). I think I am going to tackle the headers later this week, but I will likely end up putting the new headers on and dealing with the warped flanges on the old headers later. Turns out the truck really needs a full exhaust anyway so may as well start fresh and do it right, nothing more annoying than exhaust leaks.
Know a machine shop that could do the kingpin bushing honing when I get ready for the disc brakes/lowering project?

Todd, remember the kingpen bushings have to be reamed, not honed. Don't let the machine shop guys tell you any different. ![Thumbs up ](./images/smilies/icon_thumright.gif)

Re: Anybody used the lmc sestbelts
Don't mean to hi-jack this thread but I have a question regarding three point seatbelts. I have a 67 F-100 and would like to install three point seatbelts. On the drivers side of the cab there is no place to mount the shoulder harness (hopefully i worded this correct) part of the seatbelt. Unlike the passenger side of the cab the mounting point (the hole with the rubber plug) is just not there. Has anyone ran into this issue before? If so what did you do to overcome not having a mounting point for the seatbelt shoulder harness? Thanks in advance for you reply/assistance.

Re: Anybody used the lmc sestbelts
I have not seen a truck that just did not have the mounting hole at all. The main problem we run into is that some are threaded and some are not. But yours is the first truck that I have heard of where they actually did not put the hole in the cab. ![Hmmm :hmm:](./images/smilies/icon_hm.gif)

Re: Anybody used the lmc sestbelts
I found it to be strange too, but it's a fact, there is no hole/plug for the seatbelt shoulder harness to be mounted. ![Hmmm :hmm:](./images/smilies/icon_hm.gif)

Re: Anybody used the lmc sestbelts
Maybe there's a reinforcement but no hole in the inner panel.
I'd measure to where it should be and drill a small hole.
(like exploratory surgery)
If there's no reinforcement then you'll have to weld , or fish one into place.
you might need to hire a body man?

Re: Anybody used the lmc sestbelts
The mystery of the mounting point/hole for the seatbelt shoulder harness is solved. The previous owner had filled the hole/mounting point with bondo or body filler. Then he smooth it out and painted the area to make it look like the hole/mounting point was never there. Once I made the measurements and started to drill the body filler/bondo caved in then I used a flat tip screw drived to remove the rest of the filler. I will be ordering some three point seatbelts after some research to determine who sales the best ones for the buck. Thanks to the FORDification Members I was able to solve the mystery.

Re: Anybody used the lmc sestbelts
I've used the belts from LMC in my '70 truck and I used belts from seatbeltspro in my '55 car. They were both made by Beams. I've not found an aftermarket supplier yet who didn't buy from Beams.
