71 F350 Another from down under

Post by DASIC1 »

Hi guys, I'm Andrew from Melbourne Australia. I recently brought a 71 F350 to tow my race car around. Its only got the inline 6 not sure if its the 240 or 300, but will measure it one day.
This site has been pretty helpful getting the truck in better condition. Ive almost finished putting on a disk brake front end.
This is how I picked it up

I resprayed the dash, doors and door jams while it was all apart. I spent a bit of time on sound deadening as well. Under the truck I used a a brush on sound deader. Inside I used a product similar to dynamat and used another layer of under felt under the carpet witch I took all the way up under the dash. Pretty much to the bottom of the windscreen. The roof and back wall is covered in foam under the material.
I haven't done anything to the doors yet but will soon

:wel: from California! Your truck looks like it is coming along well. It's great seeing some bumpsides that are right hand steering. :fr:

Welcome to the site. I've actually driven past this truck when it was for sale, looks like you've done some great work on it!
