1972 F350

Post by 1sugg »

Well I have been using this web site for all its information, so I thought I would share my current project that fell in my lap! It's a 1972 F-350 with a Holmes 440 and a wheel lift. It does not have a engine in it, the guy has a rebuilt 390 with tons of work done to it that was built at a machine shop down in Saugus I believe he said. It's missing a lot of odds and end parts to put he engine back in, nothing major just stuff that was lost in moving and sitting for 20 years.

That thing is awesome!! You need to give it a Hazzard County tow paint job and then you can be driving Cooter's truck!!

That truck brings back some memories for me. A local salvage yard had one just like it, Holmes 440 & all in restorable condition. Over a course of 8 years or so, I tried like hell to buy it off of them but no dice. They finally told me to stop asking about it & promptly crushed it. Sad. Truck had a ton of good parts still on it. Even had the factory rear shock mounts that are worth thier weight in gold....
