New member in Maryland

Post by Eugene »

Hello to all: Today, Feb. 22, 2013 I plunked down my money for a 1965 F250 Camper Special in nice, mostly original condition. This is my first pickup and I hope I made a good choice. Time will tell. I wanted a truck to tow an antique car I have to shows and wanted something older as a tow vehicle. I got tired of borrowing rigs from friends or paying hugh amounts to Uhaul for a truck/trailer rental. A good thing I don't go to a lot of shows!

I pick up the pickup next week, and then the fun starts, probably with lots of novice questions to this list!

I would be interested in hearing from other Maryland members with similiar older models.

And the new member for Gettysbury, Pa. I'm in Union Bridge, not that far from you--would like to hear from you.

Hello from San Diego, CA!! :wel:

You won't regret it unless you bought a total basket case. But it sounds like you know something about cars (tow vehicle for an antique says something...). your truck is infinitely rebuildable and if it's in good shape you will find that it is a conversation piece in and of it's self when you take your antique to shows.

Stick around and ask questions when you have them. We are here to help!

Welcome from PA Eugene!

I saw you asked a question about local yards. Most of the ones around me have later model vehicles. I haven't seen a bump locally in a couple years unfortunately. Not saying they aren't out there, just haven't been out to any in a while
