ok, this is probably a stupid question but can i put disk brakes on my 67 without changing the whole axle, IE: just taking off the stuff from the closed knuckle outward, or do i have to get a whole new housing and axle setup and swap it in. :?

just got done doin the same conversion. If you can find a donor that fits your yearspan, than yes you can switch out just the spindles, but in the long run, it's easier to just do a whole front end drop and switch because you're going to have the kingpins driven out in order to swap spindles and that is a job much easier when off the vehicle. check kieths tech article on switching to power disc brakes, it'll give ya everything you need, trust me, i did it.
