Some sort of trim package, Ford still sells a Texas edition, but I'd never heard of one until now. Interesting.

being a dealer only option as there's no mention of it here in the Fordification library of dealer literature:

Looks like they took a modern Texas edition badge, and slapped it on that truck. LOL. Hard to say without getting a better look at the emblem, but whomever is doing it, is definitely trying to slip one passed some dumb buyer.

There is a Texas edition badge on it, but for the life of me I can't even find other trucks of that era marked as such. There was a California edition Mustang, at one point, but I can't find Texas Edition trucks turning up until the 80's.BobbyFord wrote:I'm guessing me means "Ranger" edition.
Best I can think of is some wonky dealer option, but why haven't we heard of it until now?

Re: 1970 "Texan Edition" ???
Yeah, i couldn't find a mention about it anywhere either, so I thought i would ask.
I have been driving these trucks for many years and rarely see something thant I can't find mention of on this site.
I have to believe that he is trying to pull a fast one on someone that has no idea, that it is probably not a real option from back then.
Maybe, if I can find some time I'll try to take a look at it and ask some questions.
