Toolbox lock
On my CS the toolbox on the passenger side, should the lock be the same as the door and ignition? If its not can it be rekeyed?

Re: Toolbox lock
No, they are different keys. I don't think you could re-key one because the keys are different styles. I could be wrong, though.

Re: Toolbox lock
Well shoot. Was hoping that they'd be the same. When I got the truck I only got the key for the door/ignition and nothing for the toolbox and I can't seem to find a replacement on any of the popular sites (Dennis carpenter, lmc, npd...etc).
How do I get a key for that lock then ?

Re: Toolbox lock
I had a locksmith cut keys for mine, cost about $25. Stamped on the keys are what might be the type number, Y11.

You may be on to something there. My toolbox key also has Y11 on it.72BahamaBlue wrote:I had a locksmith cut keys for mine, cost about $25. Stamped on the keys are what might be the type number, Y11.

Re: Toolbox lock
I had forgotten about this post.
Thanks for the tips guys
I'll probably go get this done at a locksmith in the next week or so. I have so many things "in process" for my build that I'm having difficulty to prioritize them. It's the little things like this that I'll need to not ignore.
Thanks for the tips guys
