I have been a Ford guy my entire life. If Ford does not make I will not own it. I owned a 68 F100 30 years ago and have recently got the fever for another one. I found a 1 owner with a 360,fleetside,short wheel base,354 limited slip,3 on the tree that from the cab foward is not bad. The interior is excellent. It has 4 original rims and hub caps. All the crome is there and the windows are not cracked. The engine is free(really free). The owner said it was running when his Dad passed but it smoked. It has not ran since 1988. The one really bad thing is the bed is completly shot. I have looked at it several times and just cannot make my mind up. I think I could get it for 300-500.
What do you guys think? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Tim

Tim,
I will officially give you my "basketcase" namesake at this point, as your truck takes the honors hands down!
I mean... from choo-choo town. Looks like a nice project!

Re: New Guy From Southwest Ga.
from Iowa. If it was me I would buy it in a heartbeat. Looks like the grill is straight so if you decide this one is not worth repairing you can always part out the truck and make a little money on it or scavange off of it to put on another truck. From the pics though it looks like the bed is your biggest worry. Good Luck

Re: New Guy From Southwest Ga.
Thanks fellows.
I think if I can get it for $300 I will go ahead and get it.
I was thinking(dreaming) of restoring it for the most part back to orginal.
I will keep you all posted.
