Another from Kansas - 67 F100 240cu

Post by Lawndart »

Tooling down in my Land Rover with only 45k on the odo, engine quit. Coasted to the side of the road. Would not start; acted like timing. Long story short, timing chain busted at constant speed. Piston and valve damage and will need a new engine. This will take some time. Did I mention 45k...

Had a moment and decided to head back in time. I was a Ford guy in the 80s, however of the V8 kind. Now a few years later, I am happy to find this wonderfully simple machine. Drove it to KS from mid-MO. Runs good. I plan on going over it this weekend.

Cheers!

Love the username, didn't they outlaw those things back in the 60's though due to how dangerous they were?!

Welcome aboard! That's a decent looking truck you have there!
I remember playing lawn darts with my cousins when we went to visit my grandparents. Nobody ever got hurt during all the games we played. Those are happy memories.

Welcome aboard from Tehama County Ca. I have a set of lawn darts. I figure they hold about the same danger as a set of horse shoes.
