Who took them off? The inner fenders bolt up at the firewall and the radiator support. The outer fenders hang off of the inner fenders. The hood hinges bolt to the inner fender, and the hood bolts to the hinges.

I would first get the inner fenders bolted up to the firewall and the core support on both sides. Then attach the outer fenders but don't tighten the bolts all the way. Shift each fender around until you have an even gap along the front edge of the door. Then tighten the bolts. Use body shims under the bolts if they pull the fender out of position when they're tightened.

Mount the hinges to the inner fender and tighten the bolts. Hang the hood on the hinges and loosely tighten the bolts. Shift the hood around until you have an even gap around the cowl, and it closes properly. I think you can shift the latch or the latch catch up or down to make the gap between the hood and the fender even in front. Adjust the hinges up or down for the gap at the rear of the hood above the fender. If it's still off you might have to adjust the fender up or down to get an even gap.

i did unfortunately of course thats been 3 years ago when i started breaking the truck down, and im sick and tired of dealing with paint and body guys the one i have has messed me over. he painted the cab last year and i told him to get enough paint to do the whole truck...did he do that?nope! he painted the fenders and hood at a different time and they dont match. and hell now that i am getting them on they dont fit just right.i am suspicious that he kept my hood and put the one he had on mine, which was on his personal truck that was an aftermarket hood...the back side corner next to the cab flares out alittle bit about 1/4 to 1/2 inch and its already been painted so im afraid to torque it alittle bit afraid it will crack the paint.
