drive shaft needed

I was being a good boy and changed out my u joints BEFORE they failed on me in the middle of nowhere. I did both! Well the front one failed 2 weeks later going into work. The drive shaft droped spun under the rear tire and was ripped out from under my truck. Thats not the worst part! Some hillbilly redneck ........... reject stoped picked it up threw it in the back of his truck and sped off!
I have a '68 short bed T18 4speed and a 9in. The slip yoke is on the drive shaft. The distance from rear end yoke to tranny yoke is 62/63".

I got an email from Greg on this and to answer his questions: It is a one piece drive shaft. The slip yoke dose not go into the tranny. The yoke is fixed to the tail housing just like the yoke on the rear end.

Hello again. If yours is like the unit pictured by Bobbyford then I do not have one. Mine are all 2 pc units from longbeds or from cars. Hopefully someone else here may have one to offer you but if not he may be right. - Might have to have one made. Sorry I couldn't help.

I have a few drive shafts in a shed. They're all solid with a bit of surface rust. Any idea on a length so I can try to see if I have one?

Sorry for not getting back to you guys but my computer went down completely & now have to use my phone for all this & I didn't get an alert that you had posted anything. It looks just like the pic. A guy on here by the screen name Snake has one that might work. I belive its 62-63" from yoke to yoke but without the origanal I can't be sure of its exact dementions. That's wants wrong with the one I found in a junkyard near me. It expands to the right leangth but its over extended & wabbles like mad over 10mph. If Snakes isn't quite right I'm going to have it or the one I found modified.
