A '71 F-250 named Clementine

Post by jrmccabe »

hey there,

i bought a '71 F-250 back in december with 90K original miles on her out in Montana. now she's in Massachusetts and it's been a great summer. there's a few pics from the road trip for ya'll.

i'm in for my first brake job next week and have been watching youtube videos on drum shoe replacement. hopefully that goes well, but i guess i'll throw out my first question regarding the body while i'm here:
-there's a bit of surface rust in the bed and i'm only garaging my truck in the winter (offsite), what are peoples thoughts on getting the bed sprayed to keep the rust from going further and should i consider it?

cheers and thanks,
jarrod.

Good evening Jarrod,

Thanks so much for these wonderful photographs. This one and this one are actually two of the most distinctive Bumpside photos I've ever seen; very impressive!

I second what robroy says. Those two images, particularly the second one are iconic

Welcome! Great great pictures. Love the one out in the Badlands, and the Smoke House is great as well. That one looks like something from a National Geographic photo shoot of iconic American moments.

Well said! It really does. It's probably my #1 favorite Bumpside photo of all time.

Seriously man, that's an awesome photograph, with or without the bump, but somehow you managed to capture an evocative image of Americana, and times not too long past. You've become the Norman Rockwell of bumpsides.
