Like maintman78, I've been registered for a while but just never got around to introducing myself. I used to have a very nice collection of old trucks from 67 on up. About 20 or so bumpsides, 2 or 3 dents, and a WW2 Army halftrack. All were in running condition and I was rarely seen driving the same truck twice in the same month. All were also in various states of disrepair all the time as well. To make a long story short, 1996 was a very bad year for me and I sold all but my two favorite trucks; a 1972 F-350 and a 1972 F-100 4X4. Drove the 4X4 until I blew the 360 and drove the 1-ton until gas got too high. The 4X4 is already stripped down to the frame, and I am currently disassembling the 1-ton. Both will get a complete frame-off rebuild. I can't say restoration, because neither will be restored to original condition. I love the old bodies, but I also love new technology. But nothing too radical and nothing that can't be removed so the truck could be restored to original. I'm going to die someday and I don't want to have a truck that somebody else won't buy because there are too many permanent modifications made that it can't be reasonably restored. Just looking out for the next generation of bumpside lovers.
