New from West Point Georgia

Post by joebig »

Hi,

I traded a 1988 Ford econoline van that was just wasting away in my driveway for this 1969 F-100. It has an inline 6 cyl but tag says it originally had a 360 in it. I'm 56 and have never been too mechanically inclined or even owned a pickup, so this should be an interesting adventure. Luckily the truck is running but the interior will need major work. Can't say I'm a fan of the fake black things on the hood!!! I'm looking forward to at least get the truck looking decent and I can already see there's a vast amount of experience here. I'm waiting for my Chilton and Clymer books to get here.

:wel: Lose the scoops and you'll have a pretty sharp looking bump.

Another vote to unbolt the fake hood scoops, (I'd never be able to reach the inside of them to clean them).
