Noob from San Antonio
Whats up fellas? How's it going? I'm no one special. Just a Ford lover. Work in the Nuclear Power industry doing inspection work. And am building a handful of Fords.
The only one that probably matters here is the bumpside, so that's the one I'll give you the details on...
I started off with a 1969 Ford F100 2wd. 360, 3 on the tree, single cab longbed. Truck has been in my family since around 1980. hasn't moved since probably 1989 or so. Thought I had some pics of it saved somewhere online, but I guess not. Y'all will have to wait on those.
Anyhow, the tentative plan... starts with a frame swap. I picked up a rolling chassis for a 1979 F100 shortbed 4x4. d44 front, 9" rear with 3.50s, c6/np205. I haven't decided if i'm going to stick with the c6 yet, or swap to the np435 I have. Engine will be a 460 from a 1985 F250. The 85 F250 parts truck has a 460, hydraulic clutch np435, bw1345 with a sterling rear.
I have some 6" lift coils on the way for the front axle, and I'll be fabbing a shackle flip for the rear, modeled after the Sky Manufacturing flip that is on my 1995 f150 rock crawler.
Tire size I'm shooting for is 35-37s, probably boggers. Will put them on my 15x8" one-of-a-kind beadlocks. As I buy parts, and work on things more and more, I'll keep you updated. I'm not shy about trying new things, doing fab-work, etc. My crawler is on 1 tons, full hydro, 3 linked front on coilovers, and hopefully soon 4-linked rear on coilovers.

from choo-choo town. Always wanted to visit San Antoine, looks like a real romantic city. Gotta' love a bump 4 X 4, especially one with a little lift on it.
And hey...I'll do it before anyone else does it!

I have some pics of the chassis, but none of the truck right now. And i'm out of state for work, for a few weeks, so I won't be getting any pics anytime soon. Work on the truck probably won't start until mid-November anyhow, when the nuclear outage season is over.basketcase0302 wrote:
Then I have a 1996 F150 4x4 with a 6" lift, 4.9L/m5od-r2/bw1356. It needs a clutch slave cylinder. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Here is my tow-rig that I just sold. 1977 Chevrolet K20 with a fairly built 350/sm465/np205 on 37s. On the trailer is my rock crawler. Well, how it use to look. 1995 F150 2wd converted to 4x4. 6" procomp lift with extended radius arms, 4.9L/zf5/bw1356 with 36" dick cepeks on custom cut beadlocks.
Here is roughly how the rock crawler looks now. 4.9L/zf5/np203/np205 with a dana 60/sterling. 5.13s detroits front and rear. Front has a custom 3 link with sway-a-way 16" coilovers. Need to redo a few things up front, to get the truck a little lower. Rear is just a Sky-Manufacturing shackle flip with a DIY4x USDR 7" shackle. Also need to cut the fenders. Tires are 42" Pitbull Rockers.
And the DD. 2005 Mustang GT. 5 speed, convertible. fully loaded. Picked it up in April with 44k miles on it. It has a few minor cosmetic issues I need to address. particularly the door panel linings need to be glued back on.
I have a few other vehicles, but that is most of them. I currently own 2 bumps, both not running. I have a couple pics somewhere. Just not sure. One is a maroon/white 1969 F100. 390/3 on the tree single cab longbed. This is the one that is going to end up on the 4x4 chassis. The other is an orange 1972 single cab longbed with a 360/c6.
If you want any other pics, just ask, and I'll be sure to take some next time I'm home.
