Need Fan Shroud

Post by J_Boo »

I'm looking for a fan shroud for a 67 f100 with a 352. It's a stock radiator. I don't have a tape measure on hand to know what the size of the radiator is. If anyone knows please let me know!

Not all of these trucks were produced with a shroud. But if you choose to get one some critical measurements are in order. Also be advised that fan spacers and such come into play with an efficient system.

Really? My fan is quite a bit away from the radiator. I am pretty sure not having a shroud is some of my temperature control problems. I haven't had the truck but a day so I can't determine if it's severe enough. Do you know about how hot it should get on the stock temp gauge? Mine gets up to about half. Haven't had it over that yet. But I've heard it really shouldn't get over a quarter to a third.

You can't compare one factory temperature gauge to another. You might take it to a shop where they can tell you what temperature the radiator is reaching with a infrared sensor, then you will know the real temperature. Your other option is an after market gauge. BTW, how is your oil pressure? If it is high it might explain why your temperature is high. There is an adjustment on the back of the gauge panel that will affect both gauges equally. You can follow the link below to information on the adjusting gauges.

Check ebay, with measurements in hand you should be able to find one that will work.
That's where I found one for "Rusty".
Like was said above,67s didn't come with a fan shroud from the factory but they did come with the same size radiator as the later model trucks that did.
Good luck, they are out there and ebay usually has lots to choose from.

I did find one on ebay but it runs about 140 bucks. I don't have much money right now, my house just burned and Dad is in the hospital so I'm trying to get my truck perfectly driveable to where I don't have to worry about it.

Thats gonna be a pretty normal price for one. I paid close to that years ago for one I still havnt installed yet. They tend to sell for close to new prices if flawless. Its one of those pieces a restorer is willing to shell out the bucks for an original Ford part.

Pictures coming in a few minutes of my old shroud. I patch a break at the top with metal straps and used it for five years before removing it when I went with a 460 engine are heavy duty radiator. It's yours if you want it and I will cover the freight. It will take me this week end to package it and I will try to ship it UPS first thing next week. You wouldn't see it for about a week considering you are half way around the world from Cali. Like I said pics in about ten minutes on another computer.

Here are the pictures.

This shroud came off a 72 F250 standard radiator and the engine was a 360. If it will work for you, PM me your address and I will ship it out.
