Re: 69 manual steering column non-shift
That is one of the most easily rebuilt columns out there for bumpside trucks. Parts are available from LMC....NPD....and Dennis Carpenter. Even the rag joint is usually available through most of the chain type parts stores. Why go for a used worn unit when you can just as easily refurbish what you already have?.....Just a thought.

the previous owner drove it with bad cab mounts and blew out the bottom bearing so bad the the shaft is also bad. I can no longer hold the bearing properly.

If you can get me an accurate measurement I think I have one of those shafts sitting here for a manual steer truck.

It's a shame nobody repops the steering shafts. You can get just about anything else but those. You could always take it to a machine shop and they can refurb or remake one for you. Hopefully Charlie will have one for you.

Re: 69 manual steering column non-shift
the steering shaft on mine had a bad cut in it. When I looked at it I could see I could fill the cut with JB Weld (smooth it to shape) and the bearing would work with it. I threw it back together and no worse for wear.
