Hello From Texas Hill Country,
I've been reading your site for almost a year now and I'm really addicted. I have a '67 shortbed that started life as a blue ranger with a 352/auto and (factory air(I think). Somewhere down the line the son put a 429/C6 with p/s and power front disk brakes on it. I have been a good customer of LMC and other parts suppliers in an effort to freshen it up. At present it's in the Paint shop with a bunch of corvettes getting prepped for a new black paint job and fresh trim and a chrome job on the painted grill and headlight trim. The owner of the corvette shop is always telling me of customers commenting on the "cute" Ford in the prep area. The workmen are always starting the engine and just listening to it run, they love the sound of that 429!! It really gets their attention when they look under the hood and see the engine. As one of your members so aptly puts it: "There's no replacement for displacement"!! Gotta love it.
