3spd toploader In dire need

Post by bntyhntr00 »

My truck caught on fire about a month ago and I've spent everything I have getting it back to working order. Test drove it yesterday and when I got back it locked up in gear, so I'm f**cked right now. And, as they say, here's the rub I am looking for a trans with the longer tail shaft, the current one its out of an early mustang. Not a lot a of room for movement on the application because I already have the modified drive shaft and my floor is already "cut to fit". I'm looking for something ASAP and in the interest of full disclosure funds are tight. If you have one or know of one please let me know. I'm Huntington Beach in So Cal Sean I can also be reached at 657/ 203-1249. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a straight drive transmission with the long tail or short tail either one. I get $350.00 for the transmisson, which includes shipping in the US.
I can send you a picture of the transmisions. You need to measure and make sure of the lenght you need for your trucks replacement transmission, so you don't buy the wrong one for it.
I ship parts Monday through Friday, by UPS ground, no holiday or weekend shipping. I accept a US postal money order as payment, also Paypal. I email you when payment has cleared, also the tracking numbers for your records so you can monitor it's delivery to you etc
If you are interested further, please let me know. Thank you for your time, it is appreciated. Barry.

Check with the local Early Bronco guys... they throw these things away....

It will have the short output shaft, but you can change that without much problem, maybe 2 hours on the bench.

Good luck!

Are you sure it isn't just the shift linkage???

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

That's not an oil leak :nono: That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!

a linkage issue.

Where are you located? I have a fresh rebuilt long tail 3speed that has been sitting a few years (inside) but has never been installed. I would let it go real cheap.
