drive shaft yolk needed to c6 trans

hello, i'm looking for a drive shaft yolk to hook up to my c6 trans, i have a 2 1/2 inch drive shaft and takes a 3 inch u-joint. truck is a 72 f100 ranger, longbed, 360 motor, c6, 2 piece drive shaft. if you have one or maybe know where i can find one would be very apprecated , need asap, truck is stuck in garage :cry: thanks for your time!!! kevin.

Sounds like you just need a different u-joint. Most u-joints are square; meaning the same measurement across either of the opposite cups. Other u-joints are wider across one side. Should be a 1310-1330 combo u-joint, like this one..> http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MOG-253/

wow bobbyford, i think that might be it? will bring my calpairs home tommorow and see, with a type measure it just looks like 3 inch x 3 1/2 inch with 1 1/16 caps. did they make these u-joints just for this reason, so you can use diff yolks with diff drive shafts or did some trucks come this way and it will just happen to work for me? thanks for helping me. kevin

My truck has a stock u-joint with these measurements.

update, that worked perfect, someone must have put a bigger front drive shaft on my truck at some point and they changed the yolk with it, now that i put the correct size shaft back on, i didnt buy one with a yolk because i didnt know. but i put the 2 differant size u-joint on and went for a cruz tonight, truck was only broke for a week thanks to bobbyford and greg, thank you both for everything. kevin :hd:
