another question, where is the license plate going? or what about doing it Old 70's era big car style. Most of those cars had the fuel tank filler neck behind the license plate. So find the spring hinge and figure out mounting and there you got it, license and hidden hitch.

Just to pay tribute to this idea and to bump the original idea back to the top, here are some photos of our version of the same roll pan. We did not weld it on the sides though as that would prevent access to the tailgate mount bolts if we ever needed to remove the tailgate. So instead, we welded brackets to the back which bolt to the frame at the bumper mount locations (did not take pictures of these mounts yet...).

no problemo calfdemon, your rendition is great; I too end up making a bracket behind the roll pan and bolting it to the bed, the tack welding was just to hold it while at research and development stage.
Again yours look great.
