Hello from Bristol, United Kingdom

Post by raven68 »

Hi there everyone,
A fellow Mustang member here in the South West UK imported a 69 F100 early last year and when I saw it at a local meet I fell in love with its worn patina and good looks and I bought the truck from him as a parts hauler and tow vehicle for trailering vehicles around. So I've had the truck about a year now and its just passed its annual test so we are good to go have some fun for another year. The pick up originally came from Montana. The lower half has been resprayed in cream but the top half still retains the original but faded blue. We need to get a few little jobs done now so we'll be begging for some advice on where to get the parts from in the USA, etc and probably will want a few tips on how to do some jobs. The manual transmission / clutch is getting more difficult to operate so we're starting to do some research into that and will be posting on here regularly. Although we (my son and I) have several other american classics here in the UK and we're reasonably handy with the spanners & welding gear the truck is a new learning experience for us so we hope you'll help us to keep it going !

All the best from Bristol, UK........... COLIN

Hopefully there is a picture or two attached here...

Welcome from northern California. Just curious, do your friends call it a pickup or a lorry?

:wel: from Texas! :fr:

Those mud flaps are awesome but look out of place there on the rear bumper. I have never seen a setup like that before.

Colin,
:wel: from choo-choo town here across the pond. I got to spend a little time over there, (Portsmith and London) when I was in the USN and loved it. Everyone there hung over from the Queen's Jubilee?

Hi Colin

Welcome from the Netherlands !

I buy parts from Dennis Carpenter or LMC Truck or on Ebay.

The only problem is the expensive shipping to europe !!
