69 F-250 4x4 Crew Cab newbie

Post by nchorsepower »

I'm Jon, I've had many 67-72 ford trucks but just bought a nice 69 4x4 crew cab off ebay from Oregon. It's bone stock right down to the underhood clips and is like a time machine for these models. Unmodified and still cherry on it's original engine. It's a rare bird and the original owner swears it's a 390 4V. I'm incline to believe him and intend to give it all the TLC it needs to keep it in factory condition and as close to original as possible. Awesome repository here for good information. My truck looks like the red 4x4 on the sales brosure for the 69 F-250 4x4. -Jon

I decoded it tonight, It's a Canadian built crew cab, candyapple red sold in San Hose California. Mabey thats why there's so little rust. Shippers left the key on, points and coil shot.

All of the crew cabs were built at the plant in Ontario, Canada. They were special orders and all hand made. If you want some cool history on the crew cabs, read down a few posts in this thread: http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =7&t=63299

I cut and paste it in that thread from another website.

OK, here's one that will fit. Ordering a complete hose kit for a 390 69 mustang, an interior trim screw kit, glove box, turn signal switch, complete brake kit........ Trying to undo some of the unprofessional gigs on her but otherwise a time machine. Will be looking for an uncut tail light harness and drivers door window regulator soon.

Easiest way to post pictures here is to make a free photobucket account at www.photobucket.com and then upload all of your pictures there. Once you have the picture uploaded, you can put your mouse over the thumbnail of the picture you want to link, and a drop down menu will appear. Click on the bottom link in that window (4th one down) which will copy the link, then paste it in your post on this website. When you submit your post, the picture will magically appear in your post.
