Morning Guys, just wanted to say HEY!! Have had my 67f100 for about 20 years. Started as a somewhat driver then started going to Pro Street, was going good for about 4 years then I got married, had a child so Betsy got put on the back burner. Next thing ya know another youngin was on the way a few years later so Betsy stayed on the back burner. Ended up getting me a 88 Thunderbird 5.0 that i drove for awhile then I started adding some performance stuff(310 RWH) and made her a really nice looking/Fast street cruiser so Betsy stayed on the back burner even longer. My son got his license and really liked my bird and has driven her quite a few times. I decided to let him drive her to school one day and he was on his way home and got a little carried away and lost her into a pole!! Sooooo it is now time to get back to my first project again and this time i am not stopping till i get finished!!!!
Thanks Guys,
Joe

Re: New guy from NC
Welcome from WA.
My firstborn has his first wreck when he was 4. He sneaked out the back door, got in my mini-truck which was parked in the back yard, released the parking brake and it rolled down the rather steep hill into an oak. He almost didn't get caught... he sneaked back into the house, and plopped himself down on the couch. I figured out something was up when I came in and noticed he wasn't really watching TV, and he was turning down his mom's offer of a snack, he had guilty written all over him. He wouldn't admit anything though... so, I started searching the house, when I went in the [censored] an glanced out the window I figured it out instantly when I didn't see the truck. I figured it was my punishment for buying him that power wheels corvette for his first Christmas...
His punishment was helping me take off the bumper and holding it while I straightened it on a stump.
Good luck with the project.

Welcome from California's southern shores. I have my 3rd son still at home (23) chomping at the bit to drive my '70' F-250, but it'll never happen without me in the truck. You're a better man for not doing to the boy what the pole didn't, BUT I'd make him help and pay for parts at least. One dad to another, you're a lucky man. This is the site to get all the help you'll ever need.
